Fantasy Artists,Part 1, Jasmine Becket-Griffith

Fantasy Artists:

Jasmine Becket-Griffith recently attended the Avalon Faery Fayre in Glastonbury, her visit to the UK inspired me to find out more about some of the renowned fantasy artists whose work is reflected in many of the items we sell. Here’s a little insight in to what I found out.

Part 1, Jasmine Becket-Griffith

Jasmine Becket-Griffith,

Jasmine has been a full time freelance artist since 1997. We discovered her work and fell in love (well before owning a shop) whilst we were searching for fairy figurines for our own collection. Jasmine has a very distinctive style: her figures have amazingly detailed, large enigmatic eyes. I believe that Jasmine bases much of her artwork on her own poses and I certainly can see some likely association between her artwork and herself. Jasmine is perhaps best known for her paintings of fairies, but she has produced some fabulous other piece's including work for Disney.

Married to her soul mate & assistant Matt. with three cats at home in Florida, Jasmine spends most her time painting. Jasmine’s talent for painting is obviously not just a job but her passion. She comments that she loves reading, family time and travelling. She had some wonderful experiences (some scary…involving elephants) when visiting Africa recently, visit her Patreon page and pledge to find out more! (Pledges start at just $1 a month, although to gain more insight into Jasmines personal life $5+ is needed)

In the UK Nemesis Now work closely with Jasmine to produce licensed merchandise including ranges of stunning figurines. ( www.nemesisnow.com ) I love Jasmines Dragonling series of artwork. These feature adorable baby dragons with gorgeous fairy keepers.

Jasmines artwork can be found in books and on oracle cards, Amber Logan, Jasmine’s sister frequently provides prose for the publications and Kachina Mickeletto (another of Jasmines sisters) is sometimes another contributing author. My favourite oracle card set is Myths and Mermaids, produced by all three sisters, the oracle contains a useful guide to the cards. The oracle draws upon the wisdom and insight of water Fae to offer guidance.

Visit Jasmines own website at www.strangeling.com here. Jasmine sells her artwork worldwide, including original paintings special edition canvases and prints. I am always amazed at the amount of wonderful artwork Jasmine has produced when browsing on her site.

Her Patreon page is https://www.patreon.com/jasminebecketgriffith
